Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has taken a firm stand against illegal foreign nationals living in Uttarakhand. In a recent directive to the police department, he called for a state-wide campaign to identify and take strict action against those residing with fake documents such as forged Aadhaar cards and other false identification papers.

CM Dhami emphasized that this campaign should be conducted in close coordination with the local administration to ensure thorough and effective action. He also ordered tough legal action against those who help such individuals by creating or supplying fake documents.

Along with addressing the issue of illegal infiltration, the Chief Minister has also asked the police to intensify their efforts against drug-related crimes. He stressed that maintaining the faith of the people in the police force should remain a top priority.

“Our approach must be balanced—friendly and approachable to law-abiding citizens, yet firm and fearless in dealing with criminals,” Dhami said during a meeting with senior police officials.

This move is seen as part of a broader strategy to strengthen law enforcement, protect public welfare, and ensure that Uttarakhand remains safe and secure for its residents.
