In a significant step toward de-escalation, the Director General of Military Operations (DGMO) of Pakistan reached out to his Indian counterpart this afternoon, initiating a crucial conversation that led to an agreement to immediately cease all military actions between the two nations.
The call, which took place at 15:35 hours IST, resulted in a mutual decision to halt all forms of firing and military operations — on land, at sea, and in the air — starting from 17:00 hours IST today. “Instructions have been issued on both sides to enforce this understanding effectively and without delay,” confirmed Indian official Mr. Misri. “The DGMOs are scheduled to reconnect and review the situation on May 12 at 12:00 hours IST.”
