Kashipur, April 23: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami visited Kashipur today, where he inaugurated the newly constructed ARTO (Assistant Regional Transport Office) building along with a state-of-the-art Automated Driving Test Track. The development is aimed at improving transport-related services and ensuring transparency and efficiency in driving tests.
During his visit, CM Dhami emphasized the government’s commitment to modernizing infrastructure and bringing public services closer to the people. “With the launch of this automated driving test track, we are stepping towards safer roads and more skilled drivers,” he said. The system uses advanced technology to assess driving skills, eliminating human bias and ensuring a fair evaluation process.
The new ARTO building is equipped with modern facilities to streamline day-to-day administrative work, making it easier for citizens to access services like vehicle registration, driving license issuance, and permits.
Local residents and officials welcomed the development, expressing hope that it would reduce delays and improve the overall experience at the transport office.
This initiative is part of a broader push by the state government to digitize and upgrade public service infrastructure, especially in rapidly developing towns like Kashipur.
