In preparation for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s upcoming visit to the Harsil-Mukhba region, extensive security arrangements have been put in place by district and police authorities, excluding central security agencies. The visit, scheduled for Thursday, has prompted deployment of a large number of personnel to ensure a foolproof security setup.
According to officials, Director General of Police (DGP) Ashok Kumar will personally oversee the arrangements, accompanied by seven IPS officers, five Additional Superintendents of Police (Addl. SPs), and 16 Circle Officers (COs). To further strengthen the security grid, three companies of the Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC) along with nearly 7,000 police personnel will be deployed across key locations and along the VVIP route.
DGP Ashok Kumar conducted an inspection of the VVIP route in Harsil and Mukhba, emphasizing error-free coordination and seamless execution. He issued strict instructions to ensure that every point along the Prime Minister’s travel route is secured and all protocols are followed diligently.
The entire area is now under high surveillance, with multiple security checkpoints and patrolling units deployed. Special focus is being placed on sensitive zones and crowd management to prevent any disruptions during the Prime Minister’s visit.
The local police department has confirmed that all security measures have been finalized, and the arrangements are being closely monitored to adapt to any last-minute changes or requirements.
With the visit drawing national attention, the scenic Harsil-Mukhba region is being transformed into a high-security zone, reflecting both the significance of the event and the state’s readiness to host a VVIP dignitary of this stature.
