Dehradun: The third day of the Uttarakhand Budget Session witnessed intense discussions in the Assembly as several important issues were raised by members of the opposition and the ruling party. One of the major topics that created heated debate was the demand for government jobs for sportspersons in the state.
Opposition leaders questioned the government about its plans to support talented athletes and provide them with employment opportunities. They said many players bring pride to Uttarakhand by performing well in national and international competitions but struggle to find stable jobs afterward. Security around the Assembly complex remained tight during the protest to maintain order. Despite the demonstrations outside, the proceedings inside the House continued with discussions on various matters related to the state budget and governance.
